Hello all. Since Rob has been throwing around ideas for a possible Valentines Day event, I thought i'd throw out an idea i've been working on for a bit.
I've been throwing around ideas for a possible play called "Home Is Where the Heart Is: A Valentines Day Massacre."
The story follows a teenager named David, who moves to Delaware with his drunk unstable and abusive aunt, Mildred, after his parents are murdered. At his new school, he is subjected to relentless harassment by the other students, which after a few days turns to messed up BDSM-style public torture and humiliation, performed in front of the whole school.
To cope, David starts experimenting with an old chemistry set he finds in his closet, on dead frogs found in their backyard. Eventually, he discovers a way to reanimate just the heart of the frog. The frog starts talking.
After getting in a fight with a drunk Mildred, David snaps and throws a lamp at Mildred, killing her. David, scared, does not know what to do. As he is about to dial 911, the frog talks to him and convinces him to experiment on Mildred's dead body.
Mildred is reanimated by David, and is not like she was before. Reanimated Mildred actually obeys David's commands, talks to David about his problems, and offers some advice: kill and experiment on his tormentors.
So one by one, David lures his tormentors to places in which he can kill them, before bringing them back to his house to reanimate them. They obey David's commands, so long as he brings home more bodies.
The police eventually get suspicious, invade his house, find a body, and arrest David. However, the re-animated bodies kill the cops and David.
They celebrate their freedom from David's control and announce their intentions to kill and re-animate the hearts of as many humans as they can.
Thoughts on this would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Aidan P Finnegan
